WinGuard expertise. From concept to operation.

We plan how technology, operation and day-to-day running work together. Agreed results make progress and quality in the project verifiable. Scroll once through the whole cycle.

01 Scope of services

What we do for your system.

Six services, each with clear results. You can start with any of them, whether a new control room or a system in operation.

01 · CONSULTING & PLANNING

A verifiable basis.

An idea becomes a technical basis against which everything can be measured. We record existing systems, relevant events and the tasks of your operators.

  • System and version overview
  • Requirements and interface scope
  • Server, network and redundancy concept
  • Acceptance criteria and expansion outlook
Discuss your project →
02 · INSTALLATION & INTEGRATION

Interfaces that work together.

An interface only helps when messages, states and control functions work together sensibly in the overall system. That is exactly what we build and test.

  • Installation and configuration of WinGuard
  • Data points, graphics and event assignment
  • Response procedures and operator rights
  • Functional testing and traceable acceptance
Plan an integration →
03 · MIGRATION & EXTENSION

Change, with a fallback plan.

With any change, it must be clear what is carried over, what changes and how to respond if something goes wrong. Whether a version change, for example to X5, or a new subsystem, a new site or an additional workstation.

  • Record the starting version and dependencies
  • Check drivers, modules and licensing
  • Plan backup, testing and switchover sequence
  • Prepare fallback, final check and documentation
04 · MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT

Faults along the chain.

We look at the current condition of the system and narrow down faults along the actual processing chain, from the subsystem to the operator. Including systems we did not install ourselves.

  • Check system status and logs
  • Narrow down faults from subsystem to operator
  • Prepare changes and updates under control
  • Agree maintenance scope, availability and escalation
05 · TRAINING & DOCUMENTATION

People who operate with confidence.

Training is based on the tasks in operation. Operation, administration and technical upkeep need different priorities. We practise on your real procedures.

  • Practise event sequences with examples
  • Explain operator roles and responsibilities
  • Teach administration and upkeep tasks
  • Document changes and system decisions
06 · CAD & VISUALISATION

Plans that provide orientation.

A good floor plan shows the relevant information in a structure that suits operation. We prepare existing CAD drawings for WinGuard.

  • Check existing plans and how current they are
  • Clean up layers, rooms and labels
  • Define the graphics and navigation structure
  • Check detector assignment and display
Already using WinGuard?

We start with a system check.

Version, documentation, interfaces and open issues of an existing installation. Even if we did not install the system ourselves.

The result

A clear list: now, planned, later.

You know what is urgent, what can be planned and what can wait. Then you decide whether and how we continue.

02 How we work

How we show expertise.

A WinGuard project must remain understandable for engineers, operators and managers. Four principles you can measure us against.

01
System boundaries

We clarify boundaries and dependencies.

What does WinGuard do, what stays in the subsystem, what depends on what? Before we connect anything, it is clear where each component’s responsibility ends.

SubsystemsNetworkResponsibilities
02
Decisions

We document technical decisions.

Why this adapter, this priority, this server role? The reasons are in the documentation, so they can still be followed in five years’ time.

ConfigurationRationalePlans
03
Results

We define verifiable results.

Acceptance criteria are fixed before implementation: which message, which plan, which response, which switchover behaviour. Testing is against these, not by gut feeling.

Acceptance criteriaTest casesRecord
04
Operation

We think about later operation.

Who maintains the data points, who changes response procedures, who is alerted when? A system is only finished when your team can run it independently.

03 Migration in detail

Six steps. One way back.

A changeover alters a defined starting state. That is why it is decided beforehand when and how to go back.

Discuss a migration →
01

Record the starting point

Version, adapters, modules, licences and documentation. What runs today, and what of it must keep running?

VersionAdaptersLicences
02

Check dependencies

Drivers, database, operating system and the interfaces of the subsystems. What changes with the new version?

DriversDatabaseSubsystems
03

Back up and test

Full backup, test environment and test cases taken from your real operation.

04

Set the sequence

Time windows, responsibilities and coordination with the control room during the changeover.

05

Switch over with fallback criteria

Agreed beforehand: how do we recognise that we abort and go back, and how long may that take?

06

Final check and documentation

Functional test, record and updated documentation. Only then is the migration complete.

Questions

Questions about our services.

Do you provide maintenance and support for existing systems?

Yes, including systems we did not install ourselves. We start with a system check and then agree the scope of maintenance, availability and escalation.

Does E&S Rose support the migration to WinGuard X5?

Yes. We record the starting version, adapters and licences, plan backup, switchover sequence and fallback, and support the changeover through to the final check.

How does a project with E&S Rose work?

Consulting and planning create a verifiable basis. Then come installation and integration, acceptance against agreed criteria, training for your team and operation with maintenance and support.

Can we commission individual services only?

Yes. Every service has its own starting point, for example a system check, a training course or the preparation of floor plans.
